Bibles Verses for Good Decision Making

When it comes to decision making, people take their own decision or consult an experienced person or decide through their past results. When you are in a position to decide something, be very strong in the fundamentals and then proceed accordingly. We read in the Bible, in Psalm 11:3, “When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do? “. When you make a decision, it is good to consult it with wise people who are more experienced than you. They would have come across your stage and will really know how to tackle the situation.

When you decide something, make a sketch with your plans, on how to move forward. Proverb 15.22 says, “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed”. Consult the best person who can guide you in the right direction towards your success. You can get advice from experienced people in that particular field of operation. As you read in Proverb 14.7, “Stay away from a foolish man, for you will not find knowledge on his lips”, he will spoil your confidence and would say your plan will not work out bible verse about friends.

Test your plans before you implement them. The Bible says, in 1 Thessalonians 5:21, “Test everything. Hold on to the good”. Test your plans at an early stage; proceed further if it works out. Testing your progress will give you an idea whether you are moving in the right direction or not. If you do not see good results, try one more time correcting the flaws. If you see no progress, then select the next better plan from your list.

When you have reached half the way towards your target, you would come across many competitors, who will implement the same plan. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 9:24, “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize”. Put in your efforts to be a winner and achieve your goal.

After you had made a decision, hold complete responsibility, whether you get a positive or negative output. Do not blame others, if the output is negative. They only assisted you to make a decision and it is your duty to plan it in good order to get the expected results. According to Proverbs 16: 9, “In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps”. Ask God to help you to make better judgements and succeed. Always be thankful to God, in your life, as Psalm 105:1 says, “Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done”.
